Across the world ballots are cast,
With pretence we can say what laws shall be passed.
By choosing men for the colour of their ties
Whilst our culture around us dies.
A landslide for the left we hear,
As our gutter press rapidly peddle fear,
Covering up that each smiling suit at the staged debate
Looks on their own people with disguised hate.
Pundits explain the monumental switch of political hue,
When in reality people just wanted someone new.
We are told this system is the best,
But advocating an alternative finds you under arrest.
They say it translates as power to the people,
I think more apt is “rule by the feeble”.
"We are told this system is the best,
But advocating an alternative finds you under arrest."
Good line.
